biography

Jeannette Stargala grew up in Dresden, then in East Germany. She moved to former West Germany after the collapse of the Berlin Wall to study architecture and received an MFA from the Rhine Westphalian Technical University in Aachen in 1997. She worked as a project architect until 2003, when she then relocated with her family to the United States and focused on her interest in photography. In 2015, she entered the graduate program in studio arts at the University of Miami and received an MFA focused on printmaking and book arts in 2018.
